Job Title: Regulatory Specialist
Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid

The preferred working location is New Orleans, LA or Washington, DC; other locations within Entergy's service territory may be considered.
This position will be filled as a Regulatory Specialist I or II based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
Job Summary/Purpose
Researches, develops, plans, designs, maintains, and implements policies and programs that enhance the organization's relations with the community, the public, government and regulatory authorities, shareholders, and employees. Provides support for state and federal regulatory and compliance filings. Delivers communications through various media.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Coordinates, prepares, or reviews regulatory or compliance submissions for state and federal agencies.
Provides technical review of data or reports that will be incorporated into state and federal agency submissions to assure scientific rigor, accuracy, and clarity of presentation.
Reviews records and procedures for compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
Maintains current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents. Proactively forwards work issues to the appropriate managers/supervisors.
Summarizes and disseminates regulatory, compliance rules or orders and ensures that they are communicated through corporate policies and procedures.
Tracks and maintains docket sheets or filing schedules for state and federal agencies to ensure deadlines are met. Handles multiple assignments, work within deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of departmental issues.
Detailed review, analysis and oversight of federal agency filing documents, work papers and supporting schedules.
Coordinates with employees involved in retail regulatory commission filings on strategic business initiatives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
- Typically requires a college or university degree in related field or the equivalent work experience
Minimum experience required of the position
- 2+ years of experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Ability and knowledge to prepare understand and review state and federal agency filing requirements. Strong analytical skills. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Strong attention to details. Self starter and requires little or no supervision. Advanced PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office suite. Strong ability to develop detailed spreadsheets required. Ability to perform detailed analysis and convert this analysis into a meaningful summary for which to make recommendations. Excellent organizational skills, ability to organize and prioritize work. Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments. Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities. Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting. Willing and able to perform other duties as required and learn new processes and technologies. Query search expertise and experience working with regulatory databases is a plus.
