JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Supervise, coordinate, and assist in the construction and repair of both overhead and underground distribution.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.

  • Provide leadership and training to line and service personnel. Champion safe work practices and insure compliance to Company Safety Rules. Work to insure network goals and objectives are met or exceeded.

  • Be able to manage all SO/SR/WR's in DIS/DSS. Organize work and manage multiple task and inputs simultaneously.

  • Work with others and maintain a positive attitude in extreme working conditions. Must have a strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and accuracy in order to direct construction/repair crews safely and to construct/restore electric system efficiently.

  • Assist in Network operations, storm restorations, and operation of AM/FM and directing of contract crews.

  • Motivate and influence a diverse and geographically dispersed work force dealing with a wide variety of safety and training issues. Assume Line Supervisor's duties for a short time in their absence.

  • This position is for the New Orleans Underground CBD Network. Successful candidate should have strong knowledge of Underground Network Distribution and URD systems and safe work practices

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum experience required of the position

Minimum of 8 years of line experience or equivalent.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks. Required to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures. Excellent leadership skills. Strong decision making skills. Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities. Self motivated and dependable team player. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazards. Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets. Desired: Ability to lead and participate in problem solving teams as required; Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and have the ability to enact change.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Class A Commercial driver's license.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to use physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions. Ability to use pole climbing equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
