Pfizer Director, Oncology Account Marketing in New York City, New York

ROLE SUMMARY

At a time of rapid market evolution, account consolidation, increasing account influence and a shift in the definition of value in the oncology marketplace, Pfizer Oncology has built a leading Account marketing function. The Pfizer Oncology portfolio has grown to 20+ products and includes market-leading breast cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, hematological cancers medicines. Pfizer`s leading oncology portfolio includes precision medicines with complex diagnostic challenges and a mix of oral and IV products.

The Director of Oncology Account Marketing will be a key member of the Oncology Account Marketing Team. They will be focused on development and execution of customer segment strategies (Community Oncology, IDN, Academics, etc) and will also assume responsibilities of select assets within Pfizer`s evolving oncology portfolio.

This role will report directly to the Team Lead, Oncology Account Marketing and will lead efforts to bring segment-level expertise and develop innovative account marketing approaches to stay relevant within the dynamic oncology marketplace.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead key oncology external market dynamics insights generation, develop and execute oncology marketplace training for a range of oncology marketing and customer facing colleagues

  • Lead organized provider customer segment research, synthesize insights, and translate into franchise and brand-level opportunities, strategies and tactics

  • Lead holistic account strategy and execution, including aligning provider pathways, GPO, key accounts and aggregators information to uncover opportunities to grow/defend current oncology market leadership

  • Develop and prioritize key initiatives to create clear and compelling brand differentiation and to bolster brand value proposition to account customers

  • Lead branded and unbranded resources & solutions creation for organized provider customers and administrators, executed by key account directors and through non-personal channels

  • Develop KPIs/metrics and lead performance reporting to cross functional and senior leadership to demonstrate impact of segment and account strategies, and highlight key risks, opportunities, threats.

  • Strong partnership with accounts team, brand marketing, payer marketing, patient solutions & alliances, and data & analytics teams and leadership

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred

  • 8+ years of diverse commercial experiences in the pharmaceutical industry, including account/organized customer marketing

  • Experience in developing advanced customer facing resources for healthcare decisionmakers, including experience with medical, regulatory, legal reviews

  • Track record of strong performance, teamwork, creativity, dealing with uncertainty, and ability to proactively identify and solve problems

  • Demonstrated cross-functional, matrix leadership skills and influencing without authority

  • Proactive execution and project management skills, with an ability to effectively manage vendors, work under tight timelines and prioritize multiple activities

  • Strong strategic, critical and analytical thinking abilities

  • Strong verbal and written executive communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Oncology marketing

  • Experience in shaping "white space" to deliver business impact

  • Experience in working with alliance partners

Work Location Assignment: Hybrid

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700.00 to $282,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
