Overview

Senior Sales Manager – Corporate and Entertainment Sales, is responsible for ensuring the hotel achieves annual revenue goals for the Group segment of the Corporate & Entertainment Markets. The individual will oversee overall day to day operation, planning, and long-term outlook of this segment.

Key Responsibilities would include:

· Attend selected trade and travel functions, to showcase Dream Downtown to key decision makers.

· Maintain close relationships with all key decision-makers both in local and international markets.

· Organize and accompany familiarization site inspection trips with top accounts.

· Regularly visit accounts and entertain clients at the hotel.

· Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales solicitation, telephone and written communications.

· Work closely with Hyatt Sales Force to collaborate on account management.

· Provide feedback and market information to including trends on the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, and interaction with competitive hotel staff.

· Attend weekly Revenue, Sales and & GRC meetings

· Initiate and follow up on leads.

· Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.

· Regularly contact existing accounts based on the tracing frequencies of the Account Coverage Program.

· Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales.

· Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours and site inspections.

· Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments, i.e. parties, sales blitzes, etc.

· Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner.

· Be familiar with all Hyatt/ Dream Hotel sales policies and selling techniques with an emphasis on maximizing occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR).

· Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features.

Salary Range $90K-$105K performance based quarterly incentive plan. We offer a competitive salary including a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, short term and long-term disability, 401(k), and travel benefits. The salary range for this this position is $90,000 - $105,000. This position is also eligible for the Hyatt Sales Incentive plan. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience and education.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of previous progressive hotel sales experience.College course work in related field helpful.

  • Experience in a lifestyle or luxury boutique hotel is preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, sales and negotiating skills with an established history of driving results.

  • Outstanding customer relations, communication, presentation, and organizational skills are of utmost importance.

  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, results driven, passion, motivational leader, effective and open communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service.

  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.

  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.

  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Dream Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.

  • Must be solution oriented, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.

  • Perform other duties and special projects on a case by case basis.
