Pfizer US HBU Analytics and Operational Excellence Lead in New York City, New York

ROLE SUMMARY

The Analytics & Operational Excellence Lead for the US Hospital Business will provide support to the US Hospital Commercial Lead and leadership to the A&OE team while working closely and collaboratively with the US Sterile Injectables & Ig & Surgical Care Portfolio Teams, Sales, Trade, MarComm, Customer Facing Strategy & Operations, Account Management, and US Hospital LT as well as with key cross-functional business partners including Finance, PGS, PCA, Regulatory, etc.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Analytics & Operational Excellence Team to deliver effective analytical and strategic support to the Portfolio Leads on pricing, RFPs, short-term forecasting (e.g., supply issues, tradeoffs), and market trends

  • Advance Analytics Team capability to evaluate market conditions (e.g. competitive entry, supply shortage, key pricing changes, etc.) and identification of new sales opportunities of new, existing products with key customers

  • Invest in the development of Analytics colleagues, to ensure that Sterile Injectables and Ig & Surgical Care product level business decisions are supported by robust, comprehensive, and insight driven analytics, led by talented, capable, and collaborative colleagues

  • Support US Hospital Commercial Lead, with Business Operations support, including development of Operating Plan, LE process, thought partnership, coordination of activities with the US Hospital Leadership team, and other core business operation activities as necessary

  • Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of a modernized process for capturing, tracking, and analyzing BU level activities related to contracting opportunities and pricing decisions

  • Play a leadership role in leading Hospital strategic initiatives, including stockpiling initiatives, make to order strategies, and inventory programs as part of Global and/or local strategic workstreams

  • Lead development and implementation of strategic and operation plans in partnership with US Commercial Lead, Portfolio Leads, Finance, and Account Management

  • Lead Operations colleagues to enhance and/or redesign key operational processes, with an eye toward driving great effectiveness and efficiency and addressing organizational pain points

  • Partner with Sales, Portfolio, and US Customer Facing Strategy & Operations teams to facilitate implementation of optimal incentive plans, training, and design strategies to ensure effective field force deployment

  • Support the Portfolio Triad teams with process development to ensure optimal demand planning, distribution, customer supply logistics, and S&OP operations in collaboration with PGS, Portfolio Management, and Account Management Teams

  • Engage and inspire colleagues to generate commitment to the business deliverables and drive the creation of a culture required to support short and long term success

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-10 years of broad pharmaceutical experience (sales, marketing, operations, finance, project management); US commercial experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred

  • Excellent strategic, analytical and verbal/written communication skills a must, including business maturity to manage confidential information and gain credibility with senior

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with a wide-ranging group of constituents, with a proven track record of being able to prioritize and achieve successful outcomes.

  • Takes initiative, works proactively, ability to multi-task and meeting tight deadlines. Self- starter with ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate ambiguity (high learning agility), develop a path forward and successfully execute to drive results.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $199,500.00 to $332,500.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.
