Pfizer Vice President, Head of Performance Analytics and Insights in New York City, New York

ROLE SUMMARY

The Head of Performance Analytics and Insights is a strategic, global leadership role within the Global Commercial Analytics organization that is responsible for Biopharma portfolio level executive reporting, as well as global, national and sub-national performance reporting, providing actionable, strategic insights to business leadership, including the executive leadership team, group presidents and finance to drive faster and more efficient commercial execution .This role also oversees the forecasting Center of Excellence, reporting governance, full funnel patient metrics, select CFC reporting, and visualization capabilities.

This role will oversee a group of approximately 20 colleagues.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive data-first, strategic reporting and insights initiatives across the commercial organization to establish and elevate executive reporting and enhance storytelling for both launch and in-line priority products, leveraging industry best practices

  • Build and lead a top-notch reporting and insights team to enable near real-time performance tracking and reporting at the enterprise level supporting Blueprint (patient counts, NPS, MROI), GTM, and performance reporting goals, providing objective, fully transparent data and insights across the entire organization. Partner with commercial leadership to develop fact-based launch and in-line product performance stories for anticipated questions from internal teams.

  • Oversee the team leading commercial reporting efforts for sales and marketing teams, including reporting for global markets at the BU level, product-level (e.g., LEAP, PanINI), customer-facing colleague, media and analytics, and sub-national commercial; partner seamlessly with colleagues in Analytics Engineering, Insights & Strategy, and Primary Market Research teams to generate and deliver best-in-industry reporting platforms and solutions

  • Oversee Center of Excellence efforts on reporting governance, including cataloging and governance of existing and new commercial reports, guiding the definition of KPIs and adoption of those metrics across Pfizer global organization; also oversee dashboard standardization and templating across Biopharma products and markets, establishing and evolving best practices

  • Lead organizational change related to the product performance reporting mindset and culture surrounding commercial Biopharma reporting, streamline and centralize reporting processes, build top-notch talents in reporting and insight generation and in-source key capabilities; proactively bring forward innovative ideas to the Leadership Team to help achieve excellence

  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders within the CMO organization and other organizations within Pfizer, including Finance; the Primary Care, Specialty Care, and Oncology Business Units; and the Digital organization; partner with Data Science and proactively experiment new capabilities in generative AI to bring forward insights for faster and smarter decision-making

  • Partner with Analytics Transformation team to build rigorous governance processes to streamline vendor spend and optimize vendor partnership, while building up internal capabilities

  • Advance Forecasting Center of Excellence to define and build best in class performance and forecasting models to maximize clarity and precision

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years' with BA/BS or 13+ years with MBA/MS. Experience in business analytics function, country strategy and/or strategic consulting, and with life science industry experience

  • 10+ years in a people management role preferred (or equivalent) with proven accountability, and demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving capabilities

  • Deep experience in data and analytics, and reporting in the pharma industry; experienced in finance, accounting, and forecasting modeling

  • Deep experience with data visualization and different visual analytics platforms and dashboards

  • Deep experience communicating data visually to non-technical senior-level audiences

  • Deep experience with internal and external datasets, metrics and KPIs in pharma industry (such as: IQVIA, Symphony, patient level data, EMR data)

  • Broad knowledge in R&D, sales, marketing, market access/ reimbursement in pharma industry across major markets / regions

  • Deep experience in translating data into storytelling and determining the best way to leverage it to solve complex challenges

  • Executive presence and demonstrated ability to effectively influence senior leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrix environment, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and drive business impact

  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to innovate and execute with speed and high quality

  • Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies

  • Lead cross-functional and cross-business projects and initiatives, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable the teams to achieve successful delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quantitative Master's or PhD degree from an accredited college or university is preferred in one of the following or related fields: Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics, Statistics, Math, Physics, Computer Science or Data Science or Business (MBA)

  • Direct Pharma experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience creating and managing dashboards.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $256,100.00 to $426,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
