Job Description:

The Academy Design Manager (ADM) typically leads/manages a team accountable for driving employee development, actively participating in strategic initiatives and cross-organizational projects. This role works on multiple priorities at once, including program design, analysis, deliverables, communications and deployment. The ADM demonstrates strategic thinking, tactical planning and project management skills along with the ability to analyze and prioritize multiple projects, influencing and making recommendations with autonomy. This leadership role develops strong partnerships and coordination with both Academy teammates and line of business partners, often including matrixed, senior-level stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

This The Academy Design Manager (ADM) will support the Global Corporate and Investment Banking organization by developing and maintaining Academy programs. The Academy Design Manager is an accomplished leader responsible for delivering business solutions and high-impact process improvements that support associate development priorities. This leader combines strategic thinking and tactical planning to manage initiatives that deliver transformative results that impact the business.

This role is responsible for mitigating risks while managing the execution of high-visibility, complex initiatives and requires competency in working on multiple priorities at the same time, including design, build, communications, deployment, and continuous improvements. This individual may lead end-to-end project or program management activities as well as cross-functional work groups to champion change. They must also excel in achieving success through leading and influencing business stakeholders by leveraging their ability to cultivate strong partnerships with both Academy teammates and senior-level line of business partners.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience within or supporting Global Corporate and Investment Banking.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a training development and content design role.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills to build and maintain credibility and influence with teammates and stakeholders across a complex matrix environment.

  • Able to aggregate multiple sources of information and details to communicate a high-level story quickly, succinctly, and effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize work, manage complexity and deliver solutions on tight deadlines.

  • Strong written, oral, and active listening communication skills, including ability to drive consensus among partners.

  • Solutions focused, positive and resilient with the ability to overcome obstacles and challenges and remain agile to changing business needs and priorities.

  • Demonstrated problem solving, strong follow-up skills and ability to escalate and gain resolution as needed.

  • Proficiency in day-to-day risk identification and mitigation, and ability to communicate and reinforce the bank’s risk culture.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience within Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets and/or Global Research.

  • Previous experience in building and maintaining learning programs.

  • Instructional design experience and ability to create innovative learning solutions using various modalities.
