How will you make an impact in this role?
Digital acquisition is one of Amex’s top priorities. Core to delivering on this priority are Commercial application and onboarding experiences that enable prospects and customers to apply for our commercial products with the least amount of effort, wherever and however they choose to apply. In addition to an enormous emphasis on users and usability, our team is responsible for growing new accounts acquired, billed business acquired, and accounts receivable by increasing application completion, conversion optimization, and flawlessly onboarding our approved customers.
We are looking for a passionate, talented, and adaptable associate product manager to drive digital optimization for American Express Card application experiences. In this role, you will work alongside an tenured product manager to set the strategy and goals and deliver the roadmap for application experiences for our small business cobrand partners. You will partner with Technology, UX Design & Research, Servicing, Marketing, and Analytics teams to enable this vision to directly contribute to our bottom line.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as an initiative owner to drive the end-to-end product lifecycle of key initiatives, from product discovery to development and testing, through to release and go-to-market
Craft verbose user stories and features with elaborate acceptance criteria for scrum team(s)
Collaborate with engineering to break down and refine initiatives in preparation for development
Serve as an advocate for prospects and customers applying for small business credit Cards
Develop a strong understanding of the day-to-day experiences of internal servicing teams (known as Customer Care Professionals)
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholder teams (Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Credit & Fraud Risk, Analytics, among others) to maintain up-to-date product roadmaps
Drive delivery of critical projects and enhancements impacting the Card application experience
Draft product requirements documentation (PRDs) for initiatives owned
Develop a keen understanding of the customer experience, researching and analyzing user experience data and analytics to identify and quantify opportunity areas
We are looking for:
Prior experience in a software engineering, marketing, UX design, analytics, or operations
At least 1-2 years of product management experience preferred
Familiarity with Agile principles and working directly with scrum teams
Insatiable curiosity about the experience of users and customers
Ability to drive clarity and outcomes in a highly matrixed organization with sometimes unclear roles and responsibilities
Exceptional time management skills and work ethic
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to navigate cross-functional teams, build relationships, influence decisions, and deliver on shared objectives
A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
Experience working in a regulated environment with an understanding of compliance, control, data governance and integrity processes is a plus
Qualifications
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
