Job Description:
Responsibilities include but not limited to managing the day-to -day activities and functions for the team. This individual will assign work to team members, supervise processes, provide informal leadership of sub teams or technology silos. Also, this individual manages on-call and support schedules while providing leadership/mentorship/direction to our junior team members. Additional responsibilities of this role include; hands on technical and analytical ability to solve complex issues, possess excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate senior management and LOB partners. to effectively communicate senior management and LOB partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the support services daily BAU activities
Manage major incidents from ongoing to problem management
Deliver 1st line support for the Commodities business primarily covering etrading and risk applications
The role requires a good problem solver, and someone who can adhere to strict procedures and guidelines which include incident, service request and change management
Work closely with Development and infrastructure teams to ensure that issues and defects are reported and actioned and meet business requirements and timelines
Coordinate with TI team to address security issues
The candidate will be required to look across the entire production environment to aid continuous improvement with the state and supportability of production systems
Build and maintain relationships with business users and other stakeholders
First point of contact for business requests and reported impact (Business facing)
Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
Release implementation and post-release testing
Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts
Troubleshooting of complex systems issues
Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvement
Required Skills:
Excellent decision making, and organizational skills
Executive communication, and leadership skills
Must be able to troubleshoot complex trading environment trading ecosystems
Have effective coaching and mentoring skills
Must be able to work under pressure
Self-starting and be able to work on their own initiative
Be a good listener and team communicator
Good knowledge of Unix, SQL, ITRS
Major incident lead response and triage coordination
Team BAU coordination including but not limited to runbook and rotation administration
Relevant areas of business expertise would include: Product knowledge, Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities, Credit, Mortgage-backed Securities, Interest Rate Derivatives
Experience with Incident, Change and Service request management
Electronic trading and exchange connectivity
