As a Media Planning Manager you will

  • Understand and ensure team is on track for all brand-specific media deliverables

  • Lead statuses and coordination and communication with the brand team(s)

  • Day-to-day contact for agency partners- collaboration, timing, asset needs, etc.

  • Lead preparation, development, execution, and monitoring of media plans

  • Gather information and conduct initial data assessment to be used in developing media plans, such as demographic profiles, media usage habits, media costs

  • Ensure flowcharts, monthly budgets, authorizations, delivery recaps, competitive analyses, and billing is properly maintained

  • Develop and execute Digital campaigns including supplier RFP/evaluation, campaign set up and optimization

  • Extrapolate and synthesize insights from reporting data from various platforms including DCM, Social platforms and Media Tools and monitor campaign pacing

  • Coordinate trafficking and tagging across all media types (Digital, TV, Radio, etc.) and ensure Account teams have appropriate specs and accurate creative is being used (key point to of coordination with Ad Ops, Investment teams and account team from creative agencies)

  • Ensure records of plans, insertion orders, schedules, etc. are in place and compliant

  • Responsible for billing reconciliation with buying agency including Proof of Performance process

  • Project manage brand-specific and cross-category work

  • Evaluate media opportunities and craft POVs for the category

This Role will require the individual to:

  • Navigate effectively through complex issues, leveraging expertise and business understanding to recommend solutions. Gain alignment to recommendation and oversee execution.

  • Creatively envision solutions that meet the needs of the business

  • Continuously learn and build media expertise while becoming fluent in “P&G”

  • Keep current with what’s going on in the industry (industry periodicals, email newsletters, websites)

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Desire for deeper understanding of media planning and activation as well as the business

  • Passion for Media, including TV/video, mobile, banner, search, social, publishing, programmatic and branded entertainment.

  • Basic understanding of all/most media vehicles and channels.

  • Foundational marketing acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years media agency experience in a media or communications planning role

  • Experience using media-specific software, tools and data (MediaTools, MediaOcean, Prisma, comScore, MRI, agency research and planning tools, etc.)
