Job Description:
The Trading Floor Management team is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Trading and Capital Market floors. This role requires strong leadership, multitasking, and risk management skills.
Job Description
General Responsibilities
Onboards all new hires and transfers, i.e., Standard ID, email, hardware, software, and voice products.
Employee separation
Maintain accurate seating plans.
DCT/FMS Updates
Maintain RIF Logs
Telecom Requests… NSR vs myTechnology
Floor Etiquette
Technology requirements
Approver for after-hours work on Global Markets floors
Overseer for Trading Floor Access
Access Control Representative
LOB Admin for Onboarding Portal
Business Management
Submits all requests for Market Data via the Market Data Administration website.
Approver for Direct Wire requests
Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs, procedures and accounting practices
Provides informational assistance to all associates on the floor, analysts to managing directors
Liaison to HR, Legal, Compliance, Supervision, FL COOs
Corporate Security liaison
Works closely with GM & IBK Campus Recruiting, i.e. Summer Interns, VAP, and Campus Hires
Works closely with senior management
Monthly Move Activity Tracker, e.g. total monthly moves, departures, new hires
Technology & Infrastructure Management
Interacts extensively with technology and telecom for problem resolution to ensure ongoing delivery of services and/or operations. Quality and timeliness are critical area for the trading environment
Ensure that new hires and internal transfers into trading envelope have proper credentials for logging onto to the system Day One
Coordination of all move activity on the trading floors, Capital Market floors, and Credit Research floors. Ensure costs are properly allocated to the correct business unit cost center.
Hardware management
Works with Trading Desktop Support team to ensure seamless technology integration and system reliability.
Move and Space Management for Global Markets
Job Skills and Requirements
Communication Skills: Will collaborate with co-workers, management, and clients. Will need to be able to listen and communicate effectively.
Attention to Detail: From ordering hardware to adhering to Dodd Frank requirements, making sure every detail is right is crucial to the position.
Leadership Skills: Will need the ability to resolve conflicts; the ability to make things happen.
Analytical Skills: Finding inefficiencies and cost-savings is a part of the day-to-day job.
Reliability and discretion: You will often learn of confidential and sensitive matters.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results are a requirement.
Strong interpersonal, time management, and decision-making abilities are a must.
