Candidate will be a part of the Global Markets Data Management (GMDM) team within the GM Platform group.

Data Domain Management:

The Global Markets Data Management team is responsible for establishing and executing data management strategy and data governance for Global Markets. The team works closely with other groups within Global Markets, other lines of business and Enterprise functions. The team drives strategic initiatives and projects in the areas of data management and governance.

Members of the Data Domain Management team within GMDM are engaged in governance of the business data domains managed by the Global Markets LOB.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of Global Markets products, data structures, and processes, experience in running data management projects, and understanding the Bank of America policies, standards and procedures.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic development of data structures and data control frameworks within Global Markets LOB

  • Manage data governance aspect of existing and new data sourcing projects, interface with tech, quantitative, and business groups representing providers and consumers of the Global Markets data.

  • Enhance data governance of the business data domains managed by the Global Markets LOB.

  • Conduct research of issues related to data quality, definitions, transformations, and applications for specific use cases.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and traded products

  • In depth knowledge of one or more areas within Global Markets or related functions

  • Experience in managing discussions with multiple stakeholders

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Ability to facilitate discussions across various levels of stakeholders

  • Project management skills, ability to multitask and properly prioritize multiple projects

  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to work with large datasets using advanced Excel or SQL

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of the various functions within Global Markets trading organization and other functions interacting with Global Markets, such as Operations, Risk, Finance
