We are looking for a Manager, Business Planning & Strategy to provide operational and strategic support for the Global & U.S. Large Enterprises (G&L) Executive Office.
American Express’ Global Commercial Services (GCS) business offers a wide range of card and payment programs, expense management tools, consulting services, business financing and cross-border payments solutions to small businesses, mid-sized companies and large corporations around the world.
Within GCS, Global and U.S. Large Enterprises (G&L) is passionate about acquiring and developing large corporate customers. American Express’s value proposition to this segment includes industry-leading T&E program management solutions (e.g. corporate travel cards, central billing solutions) but also a growing set of business-to-business payment products to help companies manage their spending while realizing cost savings, process control, and cash flow management improvements.

How will you make an impact in this role?
This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to support the executive office of Global and U.S. Large Enterprises within Global Commercial Services. This new role will report into the Director, Strategy & Planning and will work closely with the EVP of G&L, the senior leadership team and key business partners to ensure strategies and deliverables meet the needs of American Express and, ultimately, of our clients. This person will serve as a critical thought partner who directly collaborates with the leaders in the organization.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Support the Director, Strategy & Planning with deliverables and processes for the G&L Executive office
Assist with planning and execution of G&L’s global Summit
Own ticketing and event strategies, including coordinating client invite lists for Marquee and C-level events
Create and oversee the Executive Office communication plan, including colleague round tables, VP calls, monthly video messages from the EVP, and ad hoc communication requests from teams within G&L
Plan, develop and execute quarterly Town Halls
Support the G&L Strategy & Transformation team with strategically important projects on an as-needed basis
Qualifications:
Optimistic with a solutions-oriented mindset and a passion for driving organizational success
Outstanding critical thinking and relationship building skills with the ability to work well in a dynamic environment
Excellent detail orientation with ability to own projects “end-to-end”
Ability to efficiently prioritize, solve problems independently, escalate appropriately, manage tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills with exceptional ability to tailor messaging to audience, particularly senior leadership
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
This is a hybrid position, requiring commuting to the tower 3 times a week
3 years of relevant work experience
Qualifications
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
