As part of the broader US Consumer Finance team, the US Consumer Investment Optimization team provides decision support to the Marketing team through evaluation and prioritization of prospect, customer and digital investments. This team works closely across US Consumer Finance, Marketing, and Investment Management Services to develop and access the impact of key marketing strategies of the Business Unit’s largest investment pool.

This Manager position will primarily focus on monthly decision support and planning for US investments. The manager will drive the monthly reporting and forecasting process, and analyze investment data in order to make funding recommendations for the US. The manager will be heavily involved in planning processes, executive reviews, and key business partner support. In addition to supporting the IO function, there will be a significant focus on driving innovation in measuring investment returns and enhancing investment reporting capability. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to gain deep knowledge of the US Consumer Services business model and the card member acquisition process.

Strong attention to detail, ability to collaborate effectively, analytical bend of mind and clear communication skills will be key for success in this role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Finance on investment management ranging from campaign management/ funding and related partner negotiations to monthly/ quarterly budget allocations and managing the P&L risks and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Investment Management Services to analyze and communicate monthly performance review, reporting and analytics.

  • Liaise and collaborate with Global IO team to understand overall P&L impacts as well as help support official planning/forecasting processes.

  • Provide insight into investments optimization and decisioning, including driving investment efficiencies.

  • Analyze the impact of different prospect/customer segment initiatives and acquisition/customer marketing programs. Partner with the business on recommended changes to optimize financial returns.

  • Manage complex processes and ambiguous situations collaborating with multiple teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, strong organization skills.

  • Minimum 2 to 3 year of experience in finance required.

  • Demonstrated excellent strategic thought leadership skills, as well as strong financial and analytical skills.

  • Solid understanding of financial statements, and valuation skills (DCF, ROI, etc.)

  • Ability to create and maintain financial and economic models.

  • Highly motivated individual with desire to work on ambiguous projects and the ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages.

  • Ability to build relationships with business partners, and influence decisions with sound logic and analytics.

  • Exceptional analytical skills and ease with complex data sets, including advanced Excel.

  • Clear communication skills – verbal, written and through presentations. Ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages.

  • Effectively manages multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree required in finance or related.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming knowledge is a preferred (SQL) .

  • Any card economics knowledge is a plus.

  • MBA or similar professional degree required.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
