This position is part of the Recovery and Resolution Program team within the Global Treasury organization. The Manager will help support the coordination, development, and submission of the Recovery and Resolution Plans. These planning functions are integrated with multiple lines of business, key control functions, and risk management to maintain and create strategies and capabilities that support recovery and resolution preparedness. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to learn American Express from a comprehensive perspective while contributing to key regulatory requirements.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Provides complex analyses, writing/drafting, and project management related to the coordination, development, and submission of recovery and resolution plans.

  • Ensures achievement of project objectives on time and in alignment with regulatory requirements.

  • Evaluates results, identifies gaps, and draws conclusions to inform the strategic development of an appropriate plan response.

  • Help design the recovery and resolution strategies for plan submissions.

  • Work with various collaborators to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Monitor and report on progress, including identification of off-track items, implications to interdependencies, other workstreams and overall project timeline.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years of Finance / Risk / Business Management Consulting experience, Corporate Strategy or Financial Business Transformation.

  • Prior background in Treasury (capital and liquidity management).

  • Experience working across a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders to achieve a common result.

  • Results oriented, with a track record of getting results across multiple initiatives.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and writing skills. Self-motivated, pro-active individual with excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical, risk assessment and investigative skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to see the big picture, make connections and anticipate consequences and outcomes of actions and decisions.

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with governance including policies/procedures/controls, preparing materials for internal and external audiences, and coordinating updates for large regulatory submissions.

  • Master’s degree in accounting or finance.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
