This position is part of the American Express National Bank (AENB) Treasury team within the Global Treasury organization. The Manager will help support the coordination, development, and submission of the Resolution Plan. The Resolution Planning function is closely integrated with multiple lines of business, key control functions, and risk management to maintain and create strategies and capabilities that support resolution preparedness. This is a great opportunity for someone to learn American Express from a holistic perspective while contributing to a key regulatory requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides complex analyses, writing/drafting, and project management related to the coordination, development, and submission of resolution plans.

• Ensures achievement of project objectives on time and in alignment with regulatory requirements.

• Analyze and document resolution planning related regulatory requirements.

• Help design and build a sustainable long-term resolution planning framework that meets business needs and evolving regulatory expectations.

• Determine data needs, create data collection templates, and coordinate sourcing and collating inputs from subject matter experts.

• Work with various stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Monitor and report on progress, including identification of off-track items, implications to interdependencies, other workstreams and overall project timeline.

• Draft, review and edit resolution plan contents to ensure consistent messaging that meets the regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with colleagues across the Company (Treasury, Controllership, General Counsel’s Organization, Global Risk and Compliance, Business Units, etc.).

• Conducts planning meetings and with the appropriate stakeholder group and its leaders.

• Compiles submissions and data from project stakeholders on assigned work stream/topic.

• Assesses applicability and responsiveness to requests/requirements.

• Synthesizes and analyzes submitted data such as corporate financial data, operational workflows, etc.

• Evaluates results, identifies gaps, and draws conclusions to inform the development of an appropriate plan response.

• Assesses the techniques and methods used for testing and validating capabilities within assigned topics/workstreams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Skilled wordsmith who can distill complex concepts into easy-to-understand language.

• Ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and time management.

• Results oriented, with a track record of driving results across multiple initiatives.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.

• Strong project management skills and experience.

• Self-motivated, pro-active individual with excellent attention to detail.

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of Treasury, finance, regulatory or resolution planning experience.

• Master’s degree in accounting or finance.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
