Job Description:

Seeking a driven, self-motivated individual to join the Equities COO team supporting Global Equities Trading. The ideal candidate for this role must have experience working in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to multi-task and perform with a high level of efficiency. This individual will partner closely with the Front Line Unit Trading Personnel (“FLU”), COOs and support functions (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Technology, Finance, Operations, Legal, etc.) to drive initiatives across the Global Equities Trading business and its control environment. This role will work closely with Global Trading management to optimize global business performance and processes while ensuring strong governance and controls. The team is looking for a candidate with trading product knowledge, strong analytical abilities, excellent time management skills, and ability to partner with others.

Global Equities Trading includes cash and derivatives products, across single stock, ETFs, portfolio and block transactions, swaps and derivatives. We partner closely with our electronic trading and financing businesses and across broader Global Markets businesses, Capital Markets, Banking, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on key business initiatives

  • Help to coordinate the development and approval of new products

  • Identify, assess and mitigate business risks

  • Help to increase efficiency and best practices across Global Equities Trading

  • Manage – and participate in – various business management routines, including business governance and forums, processes, business continuity planning and market data management

  • Work with functional teams on initiatives related to controls, risk management, regulatory requirements, business processes, platform and technology, among others

  • Produce business analysis for Global Trading senior management

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of financial services experience

  • Preferred candidates will have a background in one or more of the following areas: Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Finance

  • Strong knowledge of Global Markets lines of business

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Proven experience in a role that is self-directed

  • Proven ability to manage timelines and display sound judgment to escalate issues as needed

  • Critical thinker, energetic and intellectually curious
