Enterprise Data Governance & Platforms (EDGP) is part of the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization. EDGP improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and governance and enabling a data-driven culture, while developing digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer relationships and allow users to leverage enterprise-wide data capabilities.
The Enterprise Data Platforms (EDP) organization is part of the American Express Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) Group. EDP manages the Big Data Ecosystem which helps to centralize data across the company with built-in governance and democratization of access to a broad user community. The team is driving the future of our business by building products and platforms that delivers trusted and quality data for decision science processes, big data applications and analytical users.
We are looking for a Product Manager for our Analytical Insights and Solutions team within the Enterprise Data Platforms organization. This role works closely with Business, Technology, Infrastructure partners and Colleagues to deliver deep insights into platform resource utilization, costs, and performance, enabling strategic optimization initiatives to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Define the product vision and strategy for user insights in close partnership with technology teams and business stakeholders across the enterprise.
Collaborate with product and technology partners to deliver customer centric solutions best tailored to AXP colleague and customer needs.
Design solutions for BI & Analytical users that overcome on-prem challenges and streamline journey within public cloud.
Partner to Develop Enterprise BI Strategies to assist use case teams and deliver seamless user experience.
Evaluate External BI Tools/capabilities landscape in data asset management and analytics to assess the applicability to Amex Platform.
Partner with Central Asset Registry to manage ownership lifecycle of Analytical Use Cases in adherence to the defined policies and frameworks.
Understand the current on-prem big data platform landscape, architect the target state architecture, and execute the modernization roadmap to public cloud infrastructure.
Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their analytical and data distribution requirements.
Develop presentations and communicate with various levels of leadership across the enterprise.
Identify needs, opportunities, gaps, and resolve customer challenges with EDP product offerings and enhancements.
Qualification Requirements:
2 years of product owner experience in driving agile development processes to deliver new product asks.
Strong understanding of products and services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), cloud technology, BI Tools and third-party cloud products
Knowledge of big data platform architecture, data management and newer developments in the industry.
Highly organized and self-motivated individual who can combine problem-resolution, and critical thinking to apply a business lens to design customer-obsessed solutions.
Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into strategic business recommendations. Strong problem-solving skills and experience in driving business results.
Inherent customer focus with an ability to interact with leaders at all levels of the organization.
Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, excellent communication & collaboration skills; ability to build relationships, partner with cross-functional teams to deliver on shared objectives.
Degree in STEM fields with work experience in information management, strategy, or the payments business
Qualifications
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
