Reporting to the Director of Core Network Innovation, the Senior Manager of Core Network Innovation will help design, develop, and deliver on a strategy to evolve the network value proposition for our core payments products – Credit & Charge. Collaborating with a cross-functional team you will deliver on a roadmap that enables Credit & Charge growth.

An ideal candidate will be a critical thinker and problem solver, with a passion for the customer and to improve our core payments products.

In this key role you will:

  • Help develop the product and capabilities strategy that support Credit & Charge growth, including improvements to our authorization experience (across card rails)

  • Define the value proposition for Network core payment solutions/capabilities, including the customer experience anchored in customer needs

  • Identify opportunity areas for the business – keeping a watchful eye on competitors in the payment industry, assessing their products and strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Manage, and prioritize product roadmaps.

  • Manage product metrics for the team, utilizing data analytics and insights to make informed product decisions

  • Develop and execute on the Go to Market Strategy for new solutions

  • Manage Audit response where necessary – for products and processes managed by the team

  • Ensure thorough documentation of product specifications, and project timelines.

  • Stay updated on payment industry regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring products adhere to relevant standards.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Experience: Background in product management, creating transformational strategies, identifying future business needs, and understanding the payments industry. Specific experience in developing or managing products in the network space (eg: products related to e-commerce, authorization, etc.) would be a plus.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to spot new trends and opportunities, develop a business case which others can be persuaded to support, and overcome objections and obstacles in making the vision a reality.

  • Intellectual curiosity: High intellectual curiosity, with excellent creative and critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguous or undefined problems.

  • Strategic thought leadership: Strategic and innovative mindset, with the ability to synthesize and translate market and industry trends into opportunities for AXP to drive innovative solutions.

  • Transformational spirit: Proven track record of change management and delivery in complex and highly matrixed organizations.

  • Executive communication: Outstanding communicator with the ability to distill complex topics into clear and concise messages, adapted appropriately for the audience.

  • Highly collaborative: Ability to collaborate, and build strong relationships with, internal and external stakeholders to deliver value beyond traditional means.

  • Great attitude: High energy, an optimistic attitude, and a good sense of humor.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
