American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) has a stated ambition to become the leading payments and working capital provider for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) customers. This includes ensuring each customer has access to business-sized purchase capacity, flexible payment options, meaningful rewards and the powerful backing of American Express.

The Small Business Products & Blueprint organization supports this objective by developing compelling products, services and customer engagement strategies to meet small business owners’ funding needs. As part of this organization, the Business Line of Credit team has achieved a tremendous growth since its inception and is poised to continue in the next 3 years. The product is a key component of American Express’s ongoing efforts to innovate beyond the Card.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Business Line of Credit (BLOC) Pricing Senior Manager will be responsible for driving the end-to-end strategy on business transformational pricing initiatives aimed at driving higher engagement and long-term profitability across the BLOC portfolio.

This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and project management expertise to deliver a competitive product that meets the evolving needs of our customers.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product and Marketing to design and implement an easy to understand, compelling pricing construct to drive long term profitability.

  • Work with Product and Marketing to define incentive roadmap and implement pricing incentives to attract new customers, increase penetration, activation, and Pre-Tax Income (PTI).

  • Drive alignment with key stakeholders around offer constructs, eligibility, profitability, and customer journey.

  • Track and analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to drive meaningful engagement at profitable levels.

  • Work with partner teams on effective go-to-market strategies, customer communications, and smooth product launches.

  • Partner with operational excellence and compliance teams to ensure best in class customer experience & ongoing management of pricing initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a proven history in Product/Finance/Analytics/Marketing, knowledge of the small business segment, and a fluency in Lending economics and P&L management. Success will require a collaborative leader with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment leading strategic initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skillset with ability to build financial models

  • Ability to lead with an external perspective and understand small business customer needs/behaviors

  • Superior relationship management and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence and inspire business partners and senior leaders

  • Creative thinker with the ability to frame forward-thinking strategies rooted in data and action-oriented recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data repositories (Tableau, SQL) and ad-hoc reporting

  • Prior experience with lend products and understanding of underlying economics

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
