Join the team that runs Shop Small and Small Business Saturday, the American Express marketing platform that demonstrates the brand’s commitment to supporting small businesses and communities around the world.

This role sits within the Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) organization, which has a mission to create marketplace demand and drive commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative products, partnerships, marketing, and customer experiences. Shop Small is a powerful example of this meaningful work.

American Express founded Small Business Saturday in 2010 to galvanize consumers to support their local communities by shopping at small businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Since that time, we’ve proudly and consistently backed this award-winning program, expanding its grassroots footprint into a global, year-round Shop Small movement.

The Senior Manager, Shop Small Brand Marketing will serve in an exciting, multi-faceted role to continue advancing key Shop Small priorities. Responsibilities include:

  • Strategy: Support the strategy and plan for Shop Small and Small Business Saturday that will drive spend and fuel brand consideration through best-in-class activations in collaboration with GABM and enterprise partners.

  • Project Management: Responsible for end-to-end project management across Shop Small campaign elements and oversight of measurement across the holistic program.

  • Creative: Partner with GABM content team and OnBrand on content and creative needs supporting Shop Small and Small Business Saturday, inclusive of Shop Small visual identity.

  • Digital Strategy and Execution: Spearhead the continued evolution of Shop Small’s digital brand presence to drive online engagement through ShopSmall.com and beyond.

  • Global Enablement: Provide ongoing strategic direction, consultation, and creative support to optimize Shop Small’s global presence.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years work experience in marketing or related discipline, B2B marketing experience a plus

  • Proven track record managing integrated, cross-channel marketing campaigns and external agencies.

  • Strong strategic and thought-leadership skills with an eye towards innovation

  • Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to develop new opportunities from white space. Must be able to balance “big picture” thinking with tactical execution

  • Impeccable organization and project management skills; ability to proactively move complex, multi-faceted projects forward in an efficient manner

  • Excellent relationship management skills with ability to build and strengthen relationships, both internally and externally

  • Proficient written and verbal communicator with an ability to influence at various management levels

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
