Senior Manager, Small Business Spend & Lend Engagement Marketing

American Express is the leading payment card issuer for small businesses in the United States and supports business owners with a wide range of differentiated products and services to help them run and grow their businesses. The Small Business Customer Loyalty team within GCS Marketing is responsible for building high impact strategies to engage customers with the core value proposition and features of their Card like spend, lend, MR redemption & benefit engagement.

The Senior Manager of Spend and Lend Engagement Marketing is a critical role focused on establishing and executing a cohesive engagement strategy across the portfolio and lifecycle focused on spend and lend enablers like No Preset Spending Limit (NPSL), Pay Over time (POT), and other spend and lend treatments/features like Line Increase, Expanded Buying Power (EBP), Promotional APRs etc. This is an exciting and high visibility opportunity to shape the engagement strategy for powerful spend/lend enablers for Small Business Card Members and collaborate closely with Product, Marketing Channels, Risk and Analytics on impactful cross functional strategies.

In this role you will:

  • Manage and optimize existing loyalty curriculum around POT and Credit Cards line increase engagement, thinking through innovate ways to segment and message to drive CM engagement and incremental spend and lend outcomes.

  • Scale NPSL Marketing through a test and learn curriculum focused on breakthrough messaging, placements across the lifecycle and a new trigger curriculum developed in partnership with Product, Risk and Analytics

  • Maintain and expand POT Marketing through behavioral and tenure-based triggers.

  • Prioritize high impact initiatives for our prop lend portfolio, focused on one or more of EBP, intro APR & spend based benefit engagement.

  • Evaluate any additional treatments that we can scale or put in place for CMs on a preset limit

  • Partner with Marketing Strategy & Planning on developing next gen claims and research needs. Partner closely with 4 product teams and Risk teams to align on high impact opportunities

  • Develop and deploy innovative, customer-centric communications that can break through and drive action in channels like Email, MYCA & Mobile

  • Partner with Risk/Analytics teams on campaign strategies, targeting/set up, and results measurement

  • Prepare periodic updates for senior leadership on in-year progress and long term aspirations

  • People Leadership: 2 Senior Analysts and 1 Marketing Operations Analyst to support campaign flighting and execution

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital marketing, understanding of execution processes and marketing capabilities like triggers, and previous work with creative agencies required

  • Passion for the small business customer and their experience

  • Desire to have fun, inspire a positive team culture, and project a growth mindset to take advantage of a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience preferred

  • Looking for a seasoned B35 with experience managing a team and diverse set of partners

  • Interest in identifying new and streamlining opportunities, selling ideas into leadership, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and/or direct reports to drive results and inspire change

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
