Job Description:

This job is responsible for developing and managing the end-to-end product life cycle for highly complex products. Key responsibilities include conducting market research and competitor analyses, determining product pricing, developing short and long-term strategies, and identifying innovative opportunities to modernize product offerings and deliver a more unified customer experience. Job expectations include ensuring that product management efforts are integrated with sales, marketing, operations, implementation, and customer service strategies.

The Merchant Global Banking product team is responsible for supporting our current clients and identifying existing and new industry verticals, aligning product offerings that resonate with market demands, and creating value to our client’s business while building brand loyalty. While executing this great work, our team ensures that we drive strategy and content delivery within our Global Banking product business routines.

The Senior Product Manager – Business Manager & Healthcare, Education, Not for Profit (HENFP) Vertical Strategy Lead will mainly focus in providing consultative advice and support in the areas of business strategy as well as driving and executing the Global Banking vertical strategy for HENFP.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and creates comprehensive plans for product development and deployment, including supporting the creation of sales training programs and marketing materials to educate clients and internal teams on product capabilities

  • Oversees a set of products and maintains financials, including managing the investment profile and profit and loss (P&L) activities, such as revenue and profit margins

  • Provides information on product trends to sales and marketing teams leveraging knowledge of product functionality, marketplace trends, and the competitive landscape

  • Identifies opportunities to streamline or enhance product offerings to fit client's existing and future needs and support continued growth and operational excellence

  • Manages risk through implementing and monitoring effective controls in partnership with key support partners

  • Partners with internal stakeholders to obtain meaningful insights about markets, clients, and competitors in order to develop products that solve client needs and ensure high adoption rates

  • Develops and influences product strategy, driving products to provide comprehensive solutions across the bank

  • Execute go-to-market launches on products and services leveraging our change management process on our Healthcare Payment Solutions (HPS) and Fiserv tech stacks

  • Accountable for setting strategic direction and optimizing the balance between risk/reward for client selection and offer strategies across all channels

  • Develop “Personas” – understand the client and their needs

  • Align client needs to the right product (Global Banking Product, ISV Partner, or new product)

  • Staying well-informed on the competition and industry trends aligned to the vertical, to put Bank of America in a better position to compete with specialized competitors

  • Monitor changes in competitive landscape; develop targeting and offer test plans to measure consumer sensitivity, financial performance, and growth opportunity

  • Client Engagement - Deepening the relationship by providing ongoing tools to help the client manage their business and increase brand loyalty

  • Become the Voice of the Consumer & Retail Client and Other Verticals and provide insights and tools to the sales/sales enablement teams

  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity and/or improvement based on trends in the data, and use these insights to inform growth opportunities and vertical product gaps to the Global Banking Product team and Integrated Partners team

  • Create and maintain a high level of partnership with leaders in Finance, Risk, Modeling, Analytics, Testing, Marketing, Legal, Compliance and Channel to deliver on stated business objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of in financial services
