Business Blueprint aims to serve American Express Small Business customers in managing their cash flow needs through a differentiated set of products like Business Line of Credit, Business Checking, and small business Cards.

The Director-Digital Product Management - Business Blueprint Account Services and Cross-boarding oversees the end-to-end development and management of key customer-facing journeys including our cross-boarding funnel that enables seamless multi-product adoption as well as our Account Services functions which enable customers to access, verify and edit their demographic data. This role focuses on collaborating with engineering, design, fraud-risk and compliance partners to design secure and frictionless experiences. This role also oversees customer notification preferences and access to important account alerts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy for a seamless digital cross-boarding experience that enables existing customers to apply for additional products without re-entering their personal information.

  • Design a future roadmap for bundled and/or sequential product applications where customers can apply for multiple products simultaneously, enhancing cross-selling potential.

  • Focus on reducing steps, friction, and customer effort throughout the product application process with an emphasis on A/B testing.

  • Spearhead and advocate for consolidated customer and business demographic information across all small business products.

  • Collaborate with product and compliance teams to implement robust validation rules that are streamlined across the products to ensure the accuracy and legitimacy of demographic data at the point of entry and update.

  • Lead 2 to 3 Managers/Sr Managers to be a high performing productive team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in some combination of product strategy, product development, strategy, or financial services.

  • Track-record of successfully supporting strategic initiatives, including the development of business cases.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Communicates information, ideas, and concepts clearly.

  • Ability to break down complex problems in simple ways and build enthusiasm around a strategic initiative.

  • Experience coordinating between Product, Business and Technology teams to define, prioritize, & deliver projects.

  • Self-starter and determined, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities.

  • Comfort in a fast-paced and high growth environment.

  • Effectively challenges the status quo and able to respectively voice a contrasting point of view.

  • Software application skills – proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Tableau and other product analytics tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Experience in using data and analytics to optimize product experiences and decision-making.

  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, align partners, and drive complex projects to completion.

  • Operate Autonomously: Takes a project from concept to delivery. Able to prioritize in ambiguous situations.

  • Organization and Planning: Plans, organizes, and schedules in an efficient, productive manner; focuses on key priorities; manages time well.

  • Flexibility/Adaptability: Adapts to quickly changing priorities and conditions; copes effectively with complexity and change.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
