How will you make an impact in this role?

This role will focus on reviewing accounting topics related to M&A as well as those that emerge during contract negotiations and our evolving business, researching technical accounting standards, and other special projects.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Development and other business partners across the organization by researching accounting topics and providing expert accounting guidance on complex accounting issues from concept to execution.

  • Present impact assessments and technical accounting updates to senior leaders and the Company's auditors.

  • Prepare Memorandums for Record and other supporting deliverables related to the accounting impacts of material deals and transactions.

  • Support the development and implementation of technical accounting policies

  • Assist in the impact assessment and implementation of newly issued US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards

  • Assist in development and delivery of training across the company on technical accounting matters

  • Assist, and at times manage, special projects, including preparation of board and senior leadership presentations, development of training and accounting documentation, coordination across stakeholder groups, and other initiatives as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant or equivalent required.

  • 7 Years professional accounting experience, including experience at a large public accounting firm (either past or current).

  • Technical understanding and experience in practical application of U.S. GAAP (IFRS a plus) as it relates to M&A and related topics such as goodwill, consolidation, and equity method investment accounting

  • The ability to evaluate ambiguous subject matter areas, develop optimal and compliant solutions to accounting and financial objectives, and articulate complicated accounting concepts to a variety of audiences, many with minimal accounting knowledge.

  • An affinity and ability for developing strong relationships.

  • Excellent numeracy, written and verbal communication skills; confident and engaging communication style.

  • Excellent leadership and collaborative skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities, generate action, influence decisions with limited authority and manage expectations in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606) or financial instruments (ASC 815, ASC 320, ASC 321, ASC 480) topics.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
