Role & Responsibilities:

This position will provide legal support and guidance to the Global Dollar Card (“GDC”) portfolio within the Foreign Currency Solutions (“FCS”) business, which is a USD denominated corporate payment products and solutions offered in 150 countries outside the United States. This position will work closely with business partners, legal professionals in the General Counsel’s Organization (“GCO”), as well as stakeholders across the enterprise, to provide support on legal issues of varying complexity.

Here’s just some of what you’ll do in this role:

  • Governance: coordinate the review of regulatory risk assessments for all FCS products/markets to support the offshore issuance status of GDC, provide thought leadership to internal stakeholders regarding legal issues including, licensing, doing business, data privacy, payment remittance, lead referral among others.

  • Content Governance: review and approve value propositions and disclosures and support the creation of FCS marketing guidance.

  • Support sales practices and the Business Conduct review for FCS.

  • Product Support: partner with FCS Business, Line of Business Compliance, Privacy, and other key stakeholders to support GDC product launches and product updates and draft, review and approve cardmember legal disclosures, revisions to the GDC cardmember agreement, as well as revisions to the GDC commercial services agreement.

  • Support Credit Risk: partner with the credit risk management team in implementation of various initiatives related to underwriting including collateral constructs, credit monitoring, and corporate bankruptcies.

  • Client Management Support: support contract drafting and negotiations for GDC clients. Provide thought leadership on legal risks involved in current relationships, advise on client escalations, and potential dispute.

Are you ready for the challenge?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • J.D. with admission to practice law in the United States 3 years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house corporate legal environment.

  • Experience assessing and advising on legal risks associated with complex transactions in the financial services industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize competing demands while maintaining high attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and persuasively, in both oral and written format.

  • Ability to build relationships and partner with others to drive results.

  • Capacity to be agile and pivot appropriately when challenged with new information or evolving circumstances.

  • A strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, flexibility and genuine enthusiasm to assist with other assignments, projects and matters when needed.

  • Passion for working towards creative, solution-oriented outcomes that effectively address legal requirements and operational needs.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually bonus benefits
