Enterprise Data Governance & Platforms (EDGP) is part of the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization. EDGP improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and governance and enabling a data-driven culture, while developing digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer relationships and allow users to leverage enterprise-wide data capabilities.

Enterprise Data Sharing Solutions (EDSS) is part of the Enterprise Data Governance, Digital & Data Platforms (EDGP) organization, which sits within Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS). EDSS improves Amex data privacy & data sharing through the implementation of modern data sharing capabilities and strategies that enable faster speed to market while enhancing safe sharing connections.

The Manager / Senior Manager — Digital Prod Ops – Enterprise Data Management will support the activation of third-party data management at American Express. Coordinating across a diverse cross-functional group of teams and leaders, this role will be critical in enabling the uplift of existing policies, processes, and practices that relate to third parties’ access to AXP data under the Enterprise Data Management / Data Lifecycle Management efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain the end-to-end program management for prioritized third-party data risk types under the Enterprise Data Management program efforts—including supporting standing cross-functional meetings, recording progress toward sub-workstream milestones, and coordinating with workstream stakeholders

  • Align with owners and set expectations for their roles and accountability with respect to the third-party data risk program and Enterprise Data Management requirements

  • Be responsible for the progress, reporting, and completion of certain deliverables /sub-workstreams—which could include working with (a) Enterprise Data Governance Colleagues on mapping of high-impact Enterprise Business Capabilities to external data transfers, (b) EDSS teammates on external data scanning capabilities, and (c) Policy and Process owners on the policies, processes, risk assessments, and other supporting standards and procedures

  • Liaise with and own relationships with teams responsible for third-party data risk program deliverables

  • Manage or lead discreet projects in support of Enterprise Data Management Workstream 5—e.g., partner with GCO on a regulatory requirement review, create recommendation for uplift of risk assessment questions

  • Work with Director, Digital Prod Ops – Enterprise Data Management to run Enterprise Data Management Workstream 5—including planning and prioritization of initial deliverables, managing a multi-year roadmap, and making recommendations for how to achieve milestones

Qualification Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience delivering technology-driven business solutions across the enterprise or in a similar role.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.

  • Understanding of compliance/regulations are preferred but not mandatory.

  • Attention to detail, with demonstrated proficiency in creating transparent, well-communicated, and scalable processes, while leading the implementation of those processes across a matrixed environment.

  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts & processes to a wide variety of audiences.

  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual who can combine problem-resolution, insights-driven prioritization, and ability to influence to achieve critical business goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
