DuPont has an immediate opening for an experienced Material Handler to work in our Slurry unit at the Newark-Bellevue, DE site.

Purpose

The Slurry Material Handler supports all shipping and receiving functions as well as multiple warehouse and cross functional duties for the ACST Slurry Unit. Must demonstrate high standards of personal responsibility, efficiency, dependability and Lean principles.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for shipping out product daily as well as receiving materials and supplies. Label and store incoming supplies in designated areas.

  • Operate independently under limited supervision to ensure proper flow of raw materials and finished products along with excellent inventory accounting throughout the plant.

  • Safety – Ensure safety guidelines/rules are strictly followed; wear required PPE; utilize heightened awareness for process safety due to operation of PIT equipment; recognize safety concerns and escalate via processes; participate in 5S program; report and respond to safety incidents.

  • Generate all associated paperwork and log into SAP. Generate BOL’s and complete assigned Everest actions.

  • Coordinate daily with shipping contractor and distribution center for shipments and deliveries of materials to keep a constant flow of production.

  • Manage weekly schedule to ensure area has proper inventory of supplies to keep with production volume. Request PO’s for supplies.

  • Data entry into SAP and closing of all daily PO’s as well as data entry into other spread sheets.

  • Supports supervisors and schedulers with preparation of schedules and assists supervisors in managing workflow and shift activity when process upsets, reworks, and breaks-to-schedule occur.

  • Manage waste container trailer and drum trailers onsite and at times, offsite.

  • Manage multiple vendor deliveries including offloading pallets.

  • Ownership of maintaining and updating material handling procedures in Slurry.

  • Complete monthly cycle counts of inventory. Utilize excellent troubleshooting skills to understand and correct errors.

  • Complete weekly Lean 5S assignments as well as monthly MTL’s.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years' Material Handling experience

  • SAP experience and general computing skills

  • Forklift and general warehousing experience

  • Slurry Unit or previous DuPont experience preferable
