The DuPont Electronics and Industrial site in Newark, DE has an opening for a Senior Administrative Specialist. This role will take ownership in areas of recruitment, communications, site event planning, time & attendance system support, and general administrative support.

Responsibilities include:

CARE Team Lead

  • Collaborate with site leadership and employees to develop and implement annual employee-centric culture strategy that aligns with the CARE team pillars.

  • Lead a team of employees who are responsible for planning and executing CARE team events, within annual budget.

  • Measure and evaluate the success of CARE team initiatives using data and feedback from employees and recommend changes to improve effectiveness.

Hiring Coordination & Orientation

  • Review resumes and send qualified candidates to unit/area focal points. Based on area support needs, coordinate and be a part of interview panels. Provide hiring recommendations. Strive for continuous improvement and more effective hiring practices for internal candidates.

  • Identify, recommend, and assist with improvement opportunities for candidate & supervisor experience.

  • Conduct human resource module of new hire orientation and support I-9 process.

Time and Attendance

  • Biweekly audits for payroll processing

  • Coaching and training First Line Leaders and new Team Leaders on eTime system role & responsibilities to ensures that management and employee groups know and understand proper procedures for completing company time record documents.

  • Works through appropriate process to address/fix errors in time entry to ensure correct payment to employees.

  • Acts as a resource to employees in answering pay policy/practice questions; directs employee to other resources as necessary, such as HR Shared Services.

Administrative Support

  • Support the generation and distribution of communications through various modes, including communication TVs across site.

  • This role will be relied upon to help improve such communications as necessary.

  • Administrative support will be broad and changeable in nature, responding to ad hoc requests regularly.

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have demonstrated success in the following areas:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4 +years of demonstrated successful experience in an executive administrative or coordinator role in a high-performance culture.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to listen to and effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience with planning and executing employee events.

  • Proficient knowledge of general office management and current computer/office communications technologies; expert in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.

  • Strong independent problem-solving skills with the ability to be resourceful, propose solutions and connect with others in the business proactively to achieve optimal results.

  • Demonstration a high level of confidentiality.
