The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Product Support Engineer (m/f/*) Automotive & Aerospace Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. You will directly support our Automotive films portfolio and will make an impact by:

• Leading product change projects, including raw material substitutions, manufacturing process modifications, and new product commercialization programs

• Implementing product standards, product changes, and completing associated documentation

• Identifying and validating test methods to demonstrate product robustness and initial manufacturing capability

• Supporting New Product Introductions in collaboration with product development

• Collaborating cross-functionally to support and achieve portfolio objectives and providing technical input to the business team

• Collaborating with 3M’s Corporate Research and staff laboratories for technology and product transfers

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution

• Fundamental experience in following areas: product engineering, product development, new product introduction, and/or research lab supporting materials/chemistry-based technology or product line

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related discipline from an accredited institution

• In-depth experience in product engineering, product/technology development, or manufacturing technology experience

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Leadership and networking skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
