IDEX Supervisor - Production in Ocala, Florida

Our production supervisors direct and manage production operations for the Modules Product Line.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and manage the manufacture and assembly of product to ensure manufacturing objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Participate in continuous operational improvement through the use of six sigma, lean, 5S, kaizen, VSM and other tool sets with the help of the Hale CI Manager.

  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.

  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions

  • All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvement programs

  • Strong managerial skills

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to manage and supervise a team

  • PC skills including Microsoft Office®, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

  • Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

  • Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or five years of management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Six Sigma Green belt or Black Belt certification preferred

  • Working knowledge of Value Stream Mapping and Lean Manufacturing
