The Role at a Glance
We are excited to bring on a Director of Customer Data & File Solutions to join the Post Sale team in Operations supporting our Group Protection area of business in a remote environment.
As the Director of Customer Data & File Solutions, you will provide leadership and direction to ensure group results for the Post Sales Team. You will provide direction and oversee EDI and Electronic File Exchange processing and administration ensuring service delivery is accurate, timely and meets all internal service level. What you'll be doing
You will establish and implement priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure group results for your team. In addition, you will ensure that top talent is hired and retained. You will develop comprehensive training and/or development plans for individual/team to remediate gaps, training needs and/or enhance performance. You will ensure the team is appropriately trained to respond to customer inquiries/concerns.
You will direct all EDI, Electric File Exchange and/or File processing and administration ensuring the service delivery is accurate, timely and meets all internal service level.
You will collaborate with Management on the development of all service level. You will collaborate with internal sales stakeholders to facilitate and ensure an understanding of the key service differentiators between Lincoln and its competitors.
You will provide EDI and/or File Processing subject matter expertise and guidance to team members on complex escalated inquiries and/or concerns.
You will forecast processing volumes and short and long-term staffing requirements.
You will develop and administer processing escalation plan(s) for dealing with sudden peaks and emergency situations. Perform root cause analysis of escalated issues to proactively prevent issues/concerns going forward.
You will analyze performance metrics to streamline processes, increase effectiveness and efficiently run operations.
You will administer budget and ensure cost efficiencies.
What we’re looking for
4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s).
7+ Years of experience in Eligibility Management and/or employee transaction processes including significant experience with EDI or File Processing.
3+ Years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
1+ Years Experience with operationalization of API connections.
Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop, and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills.
Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed, and logical discussions/presentations.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.

Pay Range: $87,700 - $159,900
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
