The Regulatory Manager, Americas - Crop Management/Pesticides will primarily support our crop management/crop protection business. This individual will work closely with the business to define the regulatory goals, requirements, and strategy for the Americas (NAFTA and Latin America), while also ensuring their delivery. This role will utilize and grow your existing skills and experience, so we can bring value to our customers and help reduce food waste and preserve natural resources.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Define and handle regulatory requirements to deliver regulatory goals.

  • Connect and build relationships with our consultant network to optimally develop and deliver the registration requirements/strategy.

  • Support us in scoping new product candidates, trials/studies and associated regulatory activities in the territory.

  • Incorporate regulatory requirements/strategies into business unit and multi-functional project team plans.

  • Build and manage relationships with authorities and trade associations to improve regulatory foresight to support compliance.

  • Assist sales and marketing managers in developing the regional business by supporting distributors and customers in regulatory matters.

  • Provide input to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents to ensure accuracy and compliance. May assist in the development and improvement of regulatory processes.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Toxicology, Plant Science, Agronomy or related scientific discipline.

  • A minimum of 5 years of regulatory affairs experience is required.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in handling crop protection regulatory activities and registrations within the United States is required.

  • Experience executing submissions to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is required.

  • Crop protection regulatory/registration experience in Latin America (Central and South) is preferred.

  • Registration experience of biocidal substances and products in North America (United States and Canada) is preferred.

  • Experience leading projects with multi-functional teams is preferred.

  • Must have excellent communication skills.

  • Must be inquisitive, self-motivated and proactive.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

  • The ability to build relationships with internal and external partners is required.

  • This position will require up to 15% domestic and international travel (mainly within North America, but occasionally to European head office/research facilities and to Latin America to meet with consultants).

The anticipated base pay range for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA is $113,000 to $195,730.

The anticipated base pay range for this position in all other U.S. locations is $99,000 to $170,200.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
