Job Description

Dual Maintenance Technician

Location: Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Oldsmar & Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa Oldsmar

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dual Maintenance Technician to support the engineering and maintenance operations at Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Oldsmar and Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa Oldsmar. This role ensures the efficient operation, repair, and upkeep of the hotel's facilities, providing a safe and comfortable environment for guests and associates.

What will you do?

Maintenance & Repairs:

Respond promptly to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.

Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, tools, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems.

Inspect and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems.

Complete general carpentry, drywall repairs, painting, and minor finish work.

Repair guest room items, including lamps, extension cords, electrical outlets, and plumbing fixtures.

Safety & Compliance:

Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.

Follow all company safety and security policies, reporting any hazards or issues.

Properly handle and store flammable materials.

Ensure compliance with brand and company maintenance standards.

Facility Operations & Inventory:

Identify and manage all shut-off valves and utility shut-offs for buildings.

Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition supplies as needed.

Perform exterior and interior landscaping and sprinkler system repairs.

Maintain computer systems for HVAC schedules and temperature controls.

Team & Guest Relations:

Work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless daily operations.

Provide outstanding guest service, responding to maintenance requests with professionalism and efficiency.

Communicate daily maintenance activities and issues to team members.

About you:

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred.

Prior hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.

Skills & Certifications:

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.

Ability to lift, push, pull, and move objects up to 50 lbs independently.

Comfortable using ladders, service ramps, and working in various conditions.

Basic computer skills for inputting schedules and system adjustments.

Valid Driver’s License required.
