THE WORK

The candidate for this position will be able to :

Soldering/desoldering fine-pitch components to printed circuit boards (PCBs)

Soldering surface mount components to PCBs

Repair damaged traces on PCBs

Repair damaged through-hole pads on PCBs

Repair damaged surface mount pads on PCBs

Repair damaged internal circuitry on PCBs

Replace damaged gold contacts

Remove and replace through-hole components

Remove and replace surface mount components

Hot Gas surface mount component rework for BGA (Ball Grid Array) Devices

You possess manufacturing knowledge, are adept at using hand tools, can proficiently read technical drawings to ensure an accurate and efficient assembly processes.

Basic Qualifications:

•Three years’ experience in IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 soldering

• Demonstrated printed circuit knowledge and experience

• Experience with working in an Electro Static Discharge (ESD) environment

• Experience with working with hand tools used in building circuit card assemblies

• Experience working with a microscope

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Good computer skills with ability to work from electronic work instructions

Desired Skills:

Experience using rework equipment such as hot air pencils, hot plates, and BGA removal (ERSA or other OEM) Rework of bottom-terminated SMT components (QFNs, BGAs, etc)

Familiar with using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to aid in identifying solder defects and understand what are false calls vs. real calls or issues

Must be able to read instructions and identify standard SMT components.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
