What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Job Summary

The Coordinator Inventory Management is responsible for tracking and managing inventory accuracy of products. This job processes returns and recalls related to distributed products and fills out necessary paperwork as needed. The Coordinator, Inventory Management plays a critical role in ensuring customer orders are filled on time and accurately. This job tracks the financial impact of inventory levels and frequently communicates cross functionally with internal teams.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail, inventory or related customer-facing position preferred

  • Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for accurate documentation and reporting.

  • Ability to multi-task and define priorities.

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service by anticipating and addressing customer needs.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.​

Customer/vendor credentialing is required (this may include vaccinations). More details will be provided if you are selected for an interview.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming medical products, unload, and stow them. Verify shipments with receiving reports and post updates accordingly.

  • Perform the daily inventory and replenishment process of medical and surgical supplies throughout Nebraska Medicine to assigned stations.

  • Utilizes Pyxis and CIMs technology to refill product and perform inventory functions

  • Maintaining stock locations (inventory rotation, product expiration audits, product recalls, organization, and cleanliness)

  • Recognizes and maintains the necessity for high priority action when stock levels are too low or unsatisfactory quality.

  • Maintain strong collaboration with clinical nurse managers, logistics staff and nursing staff.

  • Routinely lift, move, and bend with products weighing up to 50 pounds.
