Senior Load Balancing Engineer

What does a successful Senior Load Balancing Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will be a SME for a variety of clients in load balancing, virtualization and Microsoft/Linux server design and deployment. You will be responsible for the high-level strategy, design, and certification as well as project-based design, deployment, and troubleshooting of a variety of systems and systems virtualization projects.

What you will do:

  • Provide day-to-day support and application guidance of load balancing tools such as Citrix NetScaler and F5

  • Drive strategic direction, design, certification, and standardization of the load-balancing environment

  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues related to NetScaler and Big-IQ

  • Coordinate with OEM and vendor for any issues

  • Responsible for upgrading firmware of NetScaler and F5 Big-IP devices per vendor recommendation and certified MOP

  • Create load-balancing resource utilization report to share and discuss with team and management

  • Create, amend, edit, and delete custom configuration related to virtual server, certificate, policy settings, etc.

  • Provide detailed documentation of environment while providing excellent customer service to various internal and external clients

What you will need to have:

  • 6+ years of experience with Citrix NetScaler and/or F5 load balancer design and deployment

  • 6+ years of experience in LTM and GTM technologies

  • 6+ years of experience with installing and troubleshooting HA, GSLB, Content switching, access gateway, SSL VPN, related issues

  • 4+ years of experience working within VMware environments utilizing HA and DRS

  • 4+ years of experience with Active Directory GPO, DNS, CA, Radius, and domain related functions

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Prior experience with multi-factor authentication solution

  • Ability to develop technical relationships with end-users, OEMs and other teams

  • Exposure to automation tools such as Python and Ansible

  • Industry certifications such as F5 Certified Technology Specialist (F5-CST) and F5 Certified Solution Expert (F5-CSE)

Salary Range

$112,700.00 - $201,400.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Rhode Island and Washington. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
