THE WORK

Position Assignment: Information Systems Analyst supporting the USAF F35 training operations at RAF Lakenheath AB, UK The successful candidate will support the sustainment, maintenance, and operation of the F-35 Pilot/Maintainer training environment at the F35 Training Center.

Foreign Assignment: This position will offer a long-term deployment to a foreign country.

Duties include, but are not limited to, being responsible for assisting in defining, developing, configuring, and supporting computer applications and training environments. This role involves installing, setting up, and monitoring training computer networks, including the integration of virtualization technologies to enhance training capabilities. Perform maintenance, evaluation, and installation tasks to ensure the computer network adheres to system requirements. Investigate problem reports, identify sources of issues, and implement provided solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining personal computers, networks, workstations, file servers, fiber optics, network cabling, and other related equipment and systems. This includes managing virtual environments and upgrading software applications to optimize operational efficiency.

Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. Maintain host security, including firewalls, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery, file system integrity, and add and delete users. Perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards. Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required.

The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team at RAF Lakenheath to fulfill F-35 training objectives. The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed. Candidate must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature.

Travel to support other sites CONUS and OCONUS may also be required.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• Current Secret Security clearance.

• Systems Administration Experience with activities in Windows Server 2019, Windows 10 administration, domain services, networking, antivirus, and application control.

• Active Directory Administration showing proficiency in managing user accounts and access control.

• Virtualization Technology with strong experience in VMware vSphere, ESXi, VMware Horizon.

• Network Services Administration involving DHCP, DNS, and direct customer support in an IT role.

• Demonstrated Experience in Troubleshooting showcasing the proven ability to troubleshoot complex information systems and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

• Flexibility in Work Hours with the requirement to work multiple shifts and support some weekend work.

• Security+ Certification requiring possession of a current certification or the ability to obtain it within 2 months from the date of hire as a condition of continued employment.

Desired Skills:

• VMware Professional Certification with demonstrated expertise in managing and configuring virtual environments.

• Networking Certifications showcasing proficiency in networking technologies and best practices.

• Web Applications and Web Server Experience involving practical experience in deploying and managing web applications and web servers.

• Experience with F-35 Training Management System and Learning Management System indicating familiarity with these specific systems, which is highly beneficial for effective role performance.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
