Lockheed Martin Lead Systems Design and Analysis Engineer - Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Description: Lockheed Martin's Missile and Fire Control Business is seeking a Lead Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team at our Orlando, FL site to lead system engineering activities for a new advanced system technology development effort, in the R&D phase.

To be considered for this role you must have an active Secret clearance with an investigation w/in the last 5 years. Due to the classified nature of this program all work must be performed onsite.

This position reports to the program's Chief Engineer and will provide day-to-day interface with program managers, subcontractors, and the customer program office.

You will be responsible for all technical performance and risk reduction activities for the system development effort including the overall system design, subsystem integration, initial builds, field, and flight testing. You will also be the Cost Account Manager for the programs system design tasks. You will communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Experience leading a team to achieve successful demonstration of program development milestones such as Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), system integration and test.

Experience coordinating or managing subcontractors and subcontract technical management is required.

Desired Skills:

MFC CAM Certification.

Knowledge in the following key technologies: sensor systems, processor design, aerodynamics, GNC, data links, modeling and simulation, HWIL, and software development.
