Lockheed Martin Metrology Supervisor - Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Description: Lockheed Martin is looking for leader with a

comprehensive knowledge of Metrology

principles, Metrology lab processes, Metrology

Quality Management systems (17025, Z540,

AS9100D), and customer service.

The successful candidate will assist in the daily activity of day-to-day operations and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required of calibration systems that measure characteristics of objects, substances, or phenomena, such as length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, luminous intensity, and derived units of physical or chemical measure. Responsibilities include:

Providing direction to represented and hourly/non-exempt subordinates using established policies and precedents.

Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Performing tasks within the calibration management system such as processing of extensions and expedite requests.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent experience/combined education

Five or more years of equivalent calibration experience with the following: Electrical, Physical, Dimensional, and/or Mechanical

Three or more years of leadership experience

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Ability to encourage individuals through appreciation of the work and by fair feedback.

Ability to display emotional intelligence through situations.

Ability to convey the relevance of task and goals.

Ability to be supportive and generate trust through commitment and flexibility.

Desired Skills:

PMEL / ASQ Metrology Training

Microsoft Office experience

Familiarization with the calibration management software IndySoft

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
