This position is for a Systems Engineer with primary responsibilities in ASMT (Aircraft Systems Maintenance Trainer) classrooms for the F35 Training Solutions & Logistics business area. The selected candidate will work with multiple-disciplinary team skilled in aviation simulation development.

The Work

As a key member of our Systems Engineering team you will:

- Ensure product and process quality throughout the ASMT life cycle via robust application of standard methodologies in focused use of system engineering, source control, and bug tracking; conduct design and process reviews; alignment to robust test regime using a multi-layered test approach

- Work closely with Product IPTs and provide leadership for ASMT architecture and design definition, design description, requirements definition, and support for testing

- Build and track implementation plans vital to end customer for new SW and HW releases and retrofits for US Military and Foreign Military team members for ASMT Classrooms.

- Support the bid and proposal process by establishing and maintaining consistent execution, efficiency, and quality metrics; support the technical solution by providing insight into the testing regime necessary to support end-user training needs

- Support the team in accountability for all plans, accuracy of estimates, as well as schedule and budget inputs for this role

-Work closely with IPTs, Configuration and Release Management on Change Request (CR) Processing through all internal and external approval boards.

- Improve customer experiences through implementation of product enhancements aligned with Digital Transformation objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10 or more years of engineering experience

• Experience working with simulation systems in an Agile environment

• Development, Retrofit experience, COTS Integration and comfort with interdisciplinary tasking

• Customer forward facing experience

• Understanding of Risk Assessment and Method statements and Basis of Estimates (BOE) (Combined)

• Willing to support and/or travel to customer sites, foreign, domestic and have experience briefing senior Lockheed Martin, military/civilian leadership.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Experience delivering product to customer requirements in a Integrated Engineering environment

• Experience with IBM DOORS and requirements management

• Experience with JIRA and functionality

• Domain expertise within the F-35 aircraft training platforms

• Experience being a customer liaison and communicating technical and business priorities at all organizational levels

• Experience deploying training devices in a field environment, both CONUS and OCONUS

• Experience with initial site activation, preferably on F-35

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
