Role Summary :

Fund and Cash Operations (FCO) is responsible for the oversight of the cash flows between the funds/trusts custody accounts and the transfer agency (TA), the reconciliation process and banking services. The Cash Management Analyst is responsible for oversight of key Transfer Agency functions including: cash flows between the investment products and TA, distributions of income and capital gains from the mutual funds, facilitating cash flows for the Fund of Funds products, tracking and reporting fund and trust exposure for backdated trading (As Of Accountability), providing TA backup during the annual audits of the funds and trusts by Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and maintaining the tables and settings that drive cash flows and create records in the TA reconciliation system (SS&C Comp/Recon). Analysts leverage their deep knowledge to independently lead, participate in, and coordinate projects as needed in order to create operational capabilities required by regulatory, client, or investment demands. In addition, Analysts serve as resources to the Fund and Cash Operations (FCO) department and to TRPS as a whole.

Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with investment operations and fund accounting staff, relationship managers, portfolio managers, custodians, and clients to collect, analyze, and communicate information that impacts core transfer agent processes. Answers queries on cash/trade breaks and other inquiries from internal or external business partners, escalating more complex problems.

  • Responsible for completing complex data analysis. Analyzes and interprets trends, provides root-cause analysis, and executes on recommendations. Conducts technical testing and the implementation of any required software

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on moderately complex matters within a specific areas of transfer agent fund and cash operations. Works with groups inside and outside the firm to appropriately manage complex transactions. Directs escalations to more senior-level staff. Represents team in projects/ meetings with business partners and vendors. Mentors more junior team members. Analyzes processing inefficiencies and provides recommendations on areas of improvement. Delivers actionable resolution support to assigned business unit.

  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to quality review procedures in data analysis and reporting. Leads business unit-specific projects and participates in broad organizational initiatives. Works with leaders to identify the areas of concern, offer recommendations, and manage the follow-up to ensure the areas of concern have been addressed in a timely manner. Responsible for coordinating team members to accomplish the goals of the project and to ensure timely delivery of required materials and reports.

    Typical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 4+ years of total relevant work experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • TRP product knowledge is a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgement

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

  • Proactive in seeking out process improvement solutions to reduce risk and create efficiencies

  • Proven ability to work in a team environment

  • Highly motivated with demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, especially Excel 

    FINRA Requirements: FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

    Work Flexibility: This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.

    Regional Requirements:

Base salary range:

$60,500 - $104,000 USD

For the location of:

Colorado

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
