ROLE SUMMARY

The Organization Development (OD) Manager within Global Human Resources serves as an internal consultant to support business unit and firm-wide objectives. The OD Manager 1) enables the realization of business strategy by supporting leaders in identifying, prioritizing, and building enterprise-wide capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes; 2) serves as a trusted advisor for business planning and change initiatives; 3) contributes to long-term success through the design and delivery/implementation of programs and services that facilitate the alignment and integration of people, processes and technology, vision and strategy, leadership, and business goals and culture; and 4) influences organizational effectiveness through initiatives and project work related to organizational design, leadership consulting and enhancing group capabilities. This position partners with business leaders and the HR Relationship Management team to ensure seamless delivery while developing and executing organizational interventions to support the achievement of business strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead organizational assessment process to identify weaknesses in the organization’s capability to effectively and efficiently deliver value; may include data gathering and analysis, data feedback, intervention design, and action planning.

  • Lead organization design process to create optimal organizational structure; identify roles, responsibilities, process, governance systems, and implementation plan.

  • Facilitate team (intact, cross-functional, and matrix) effectiveness process to build team cohesion and alignment; might include identifying and utilizing assessment tools, data gathering techniques and professional acumen to identify the root cause of issues.

  • Provide change expertise for organizational change plans including associate engagement, stakeholder and sponsor management, communications, and reinforcement mechanisms.

  • Conduct assessments and use data to provide consultation on interventions that will close gaps from current to desired future state including new cultural attributes such as behaviors, practices, mindsets, and norms.

  • Support business leaders with strategic planning and design activities and reinforcement mechanisms to support strategy execution.

  • Participate as an active team member and contributor on team supporting internal business clients.

  • Participate as an active team member and contributor on work that supports the Talent and Enterprise Learning organization as well as Human Resources overall.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 10+ years of total relevant work experience

  • Experience in organization design and team effectiveness best practices and applications

  • Knowledge of full range of organization development interventions and change management frameworks and applications

  • Identify root causes of problems and make recommendations

  • Strong ability to influence and advise leaders in client-facing or consulting role

  • Work independently in a collaborative setting; deliver solutions to clients individually and collectively as member of cross-functional HR team

  • Strong project management skills, from concept to planning to implementation

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred

  • Master’s in OD or similar and 15+ years related work experience

  • Experience in strategic planning

  • Prior experience at a senior level in a corporate HR/OD setting

  • Prior internal/external consulting experience

  • Certified in any of the following assessments: the Birkman, Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), Hogan Personality Inventory
