Overview

T. Rowe Price is a premier asset management firm focused on helping clients meet their investment objectives and long-term financial goals. We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Workflow Solutions team to drive and execute requirements elicitation and management.

Role summary and job responsibilities:

  • Defining complex or enterprise-wise business needs for new and/or enhanced products, services, or optimized business processes

  • Working closely and developing relationships with a variety of senior level internal and external business partners to ensure that all business requirements are understood, documented, and met

  • Ensuring a lean-agile mind-set is applied to work projects

  • Conducting root cause analysis to identify and communicate alternatives and impacts.

  • Leading requirements elicitation and refinement.

  • Identifying risks that must be addressed for a successful outcome or defining mitigation approaches.

  • Working closely and developing relationships with a variety of senior level internal and external business partners to ensure that all business requirements are understood, documented, and met

  • Ensuring a lean-agile mind-set is applied to work projects

  • Identifying system/process/data impacts (upstream and downstream) and proposing appropriate alternatives/ remediation

  • Demonstrating proficient understanding in multiple technologies/ applications

  • Communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences using multiple forms such as verbal and written

  • Identifying impacts across teams and coordinating across senior levels to manage dependencies and potentially competing priorities

  • Creating functional specifications

  • Championing data-driven decisions

  • Assisting and mentoring junior analysts.

Business knowledge

  • Experience working directly with business partners.

  • Knowledge of financial systems.

  • Decision-making demonstrates a focus on current and future business priorities, together with fiscal responsibility

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical business analyst experience.

  • Ability to breakdown complex or vague problems and steps through them in a rational way

  • Experience creating detailed functional and system requirements from business requirements.

  • Experience working with business partners and senior management

  • Experience proposing and documenting options and alternatives.

  • Experience creating and/or executing test plans.

Preferred Skills:

  • 10+ years of technical business analyst experience.

  • Financial services industry experience

  • Experience with Six Sigma, process improvement.

  • Proven communication skills including presenting to executive leaders

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for remote work up to three days a week.
