Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support our Performance Tapes business in Painesville, OH. In this role, you will be accountable for telephonic inbound/outbound sales, with the objective of generating revenue and/or profit margin in small- to mid-size accounts, both domestic and international.   This role will support field sales representatives by providing sales support, follow-up, lead generation, scheduling of meetings, etc.

Your primary responsibilities and essential functions include:

Strategy Planning:

  • Conduct assessments of customer needs within the assigned region or area.

  • Establish customer pricing within published guidelines.

  • Participate in territory planning, customer planning and territory reviews.

  • Marketing campaign support and cold call lead generation

Territory and Customer Management:

  • Effectively lead assigned territory which includes domestic and International customers.

  • Maintain customer profiles, opportunity pipeline and supply agreements.

  • Handle customer pricing requests and participate in price and mix management.

  • Utilize Salesforce.com to manage existing and new opportunity pipeline

Selling and New Account Management:

  • Dedicatedly identify new accounts using screening techniques, referrals, and prospecting to potential customers within territory.

  • Generate leads through prospecting and cold calling, both in-person and virtual calling.

  • Generate business from new accounts.

  • Build and grow territory and account strategies to deliver on price and mix objectives.

  • Provide product recommendations, samples, technical support, pricing and service information on demand.

  • Provide product quotes and actively utilize value-selling tools and skills.

  • Uncover and assess customer needs and develop and execute Value Proposition (Aligning Value).

  • Demonstrate products and/or services and provide assistance in the best application of product and/or services.

  • Identify any customer inquiries, investigate and resolve problems in a timely manner.

  • Occasional travel with Field Sales staff, trade shows and sales meetings

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in B2B sales (inside or field), key account management, product management, or marketing.

  • Committed pursuit of customer happiness. Strong bias to adding new value for customers and growing customer dedication.

  • Strong sales and prospecting skills.

  • Strong cross functional teamwork and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Good written, verbal and telephone skills.

  • Excellent customer relations skills with a knack for developing and fostering positive relationships.

  • 10% travel.

Preferred:

  • Strong preference for candidates fluent in both English and Spanish 

  • BA/BS in Marketing or Business.

  • Salesforce.com CRM experience.

  • Knowledgeable on selling techniques and negotiation a plus.
