Description: Drives trucks, tractors, semi-trailers and heavy duty three-axle tractors with sleeper cabs to accomplish necessary movement of all types of materials, parts, assemblies and equipment to and from specified destinations such as Company, Customer and Vendor facilities, applying a complete knowledge of commercial and interstate driving regulations as related to the duties described herein; hauls all types of loads, such as oversized, completed aircraft and hazardous materials/hazardous wastes, obtaining necessary permits and exercising appropriate safety precautions. Adheres to security protocol when transporting classified materials. Ability to obtain and maintain Company licenses, certifications, and training as required for assigned tasks.

PERFORMS SUCH RELATED DUTIES AS:

Operates material handling equipment; loads, positions, secures, and unloads items described above in such a manner as to prevent damage and loss.

Handles paperwork associated with the duties described herein; reconciles load against shipping lists, pickup and delivery orders, checking and responding to emails and completing expense reports. Complies with all Company, Customer, Government, and Transportation requirements including but not limited to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations in the performance of their duties.

Hooks up air hoses and safety chains; checks equipment such as tires, lights, loading and unloading equipment, brakes, fuel, water, and oil supplies; performs emergency roadside maintenance such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses and chains as required.

May perform dispatching duties. Performs satisfactorily any function of the Truck Driver – Utility as required.

Basic Qualifications:

Must possess a California Class “A” driver’s license.

Must have two years of highway transportation experience over the last five years.

Desired Skills:

Class B passenger endorsement.

HAZMAT endorsement.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

The base range for this position in California is $27.95 - $47.68.
