Maintenance Planner
Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world
Maintenance Planners are responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities in a facility are well-planned and executed in a timely and cost-efficient manner. They work closely with other maintenance personnel as well as operations and engineering teams to schedule regular preventive maintenance, handle emergencies, and conduct inspections of equipment and systems.
The impact you will make in this role
The main responsibilities of a Maintenance Planner include:
Developing and managing detailed maintenance schedules and work orders using the CMMS. This should include the required tasks of cleaning, lubrication, inspections, monitoring, and periodic replacements.
Assign resources to these programs and generate work orders when indicated, measuring daily, weekly, and monthly compliance.
Coordinating and scheduling all maintenance activities
Ensuring that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costs
Verify that routine maintenance programs are being completed, and that on-duty teams are performing the autonomous maintenance tasks assigned to them.
Working with engineering and operations teams to plan and implement equipment modifications and upgrades
Procuring necessary maintenance services, spare parts, tools, supplies and equipment
Working with vendors and contractors as needed
Participating in the development and implementation of maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices
Audit the maintenance process monthly to identify areas of improvement in compliance with our management system, e.g., feedback on work orders and performance levels for indicators.
Provide feedback on the efficiency of routine maintenance tasks to on-duty and engineering teams and highlight non-compliance and issues needing attention using the respective indicators.
Communicate maintenance programs to production, engineering, and other support teams and troubleshoot work and resource allocation issues.
Conduct maintenance data analysis to identify system failures and the root cause of maintenance problems and identify issues in a timely manner.
Manage the resources needed to execute preventive, predictive, and corrective tasks requested by the system, production, quality, or maintenance departments.
Generate inspection, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance routines in the administrative system.
Perform spare parts needs and consumption analysis to validate optimal inventories and their correct replenishment policies (maximums, minimums, and reorder points).
Manage the selection of service providers for required maintenance work, ensure they meet all applicable requirements, make requisitions, and monitor their payment processes.
Actively participate in applicable corporate programs/initiatives, comply with corporate policies and procedures, and act consistently with 3M values and ethical standards.
To do yearly maintenance expense budget and administrate maintenance to be below budget.
Keep updated Maintenance KPIs and perform analysis and action plans for KPIs not performing as expected.
Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineer, electromechanical engineer, or electric engineer
3+ years of experience in using maintenance planning and scheduling software
Good knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
Familiarity with maintenance equipment and supplies procurement processes
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions (PowerBi, Excel)
Advance English Level
