Hyatt Assistant Revenue Manager (Starts August) in PARK CITY, Utah

Description:

Opening in late 2024, the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest “ski beaches” in the world.

The Grand Hyatt is comprised of 387 rooms, inclusive of approximately 26 suites with approximately 25,900 square feet of net indoor meeting space, lobby level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/après ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool and whirlpool, kids club, and fitness area. The Assistant Revenue Manager utilizes management skills and knowledge of hotel operations, to contribute to the Revenue Strategy Team (General Manager, Director of Sales, Director of Rooms, Front Office Manager, Information Technology) in maximizing revenue and bottom line profits for the benefit of the hotel. Establishes goals to consistently achieve or exceed forecasts for room revenue, occupancy, ADR, and RevPar. Implements yield management techniques to maximize revenues by communicating with DOS and selecting the most profitable mix of demand for the given capacity both in rooms and food & beverage. Accountable for property occupancy through property analysis, competitive analysis, pricing, direct sales involvement, promotion and marketing efforts. This position may report to the Director of Revenue Management.

Qualifications:

  • Conducts and leads weekly Revenue Strategy Meetings (yield) and Group Pick-Up meetings

  • Leads creation and monitoring of 11 Day/ Monthly/ Yearly forecast(s)

  • Monitors and analyzes the STAR report and leads positive performance relative to the report.

  • Manages daily, weekly, and monthly Corporate Revenue Management Best Practices and Self Audit standards.

  • Daily occupancy forecasts analysis

  • Revenue Management System (RMS) monthly forecast audit

  • RMS procedural audit compliance

  • Managing of hotel distribution channels- hotel direct, central reservation, travel agencies (GDS), Internet websites and corporate

  • Establish role with local convention/visitors bureau and manage group reservation process between two entities (pick-up updates, changes to blocks, auto download of records, etc)

  • Review, monitor and reconcile (daily/weekly) group bookings in both ENVISION and PMS

  • Review group bookings to ensure revenue maximization, provide pricing for short term groups

  • Analysis of room and rate data to analyze current business plan and to provide direction to continue revenue maximization.
