Hyatt Director of Luxury Leisure Sales in PARK CITY, Utah

Description:

The Director of Luxury Leisure Sales is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function. A top producer within the hotel, who has demonstrated through performance a commitment and expertise in business travel/leisure travel direct sales. The highest business travel/leisure travel sales position. Solicits, through direct sales and marketing contacts, the most complex accounts, which exhibit potential for business. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms and other Hyatt services to clients/customers, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate.

The Director of Luxury Leisure Sales will also participate and may lead meetings, sales and other staff meetings. Director of Luxury Leisure Sales also works as a team member with the sales and hotel staff and is in close contact with assigned support staff.

Additional qualifications:

Experience as a Director of Transient Sales to champion all hotel transient segments including Business, Leisure and Luxury Travel. Responsible for identifying, prospecting, securing, and managing all negotiated local and national accounts, in addition to optimizing visibility within the luxury and leisure travel markets in order to meet monthly budgeted room nights and room revenue.

  • Refined verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of hotel luxury sales experience preferred.

  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, sales systems and salesforce.com

  • Has completed selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generating hotel awareness through direct phone, email, and in-person sales efforts, as well as host familiarization trips, site inspections, and entertaining.

  • Attend trade shows and industry events and evaluate effectiveness to ensure a proper return on investment.

  • Build effective relationships with consortia accounts, travel agencies as well as corporate negotiated accounts globally.

  • Work closely with the property Director of Sales & Marketing on the development of the hotel’s marketing plan.

  • Responsible for developing and updating strategic action plans to achieve established goals.

  • Review monthly production and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Evaluate and initiate opportunities for developing new sources of business.

  • Accurately maintain and build the Salesforce database of clients.

  • Work collaboratively with regional and global offices to drive awareness and revenues from respective regions.

  • Work collaboratively with the hotel’s Director of Revenue to ensure the leisure and transient sales strategies are in line with the hotel’s business needs.

Duties may also include preparing and presenting effective proposals for clients, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate. This position will also participate in Weekly Sales and Strategy Meetings.
