Lockheed Martin FCS Technician / Electronics Technician in Pascagoula, Mississippi

THE WORK

The incumbent will be responsible for the technical support during integration, testing and corrective maintenance, of the MK-99 Fire Control System (FCS) based in Pascagoula Mississippi in support of the combat system test program. When not supporting the Aegis Test Team (ATT) test program the incumbent will be be expected to support other locations domestic and international that AEGIS ships operate. Travel locations outside of Pascagoula Mississippi include, but are not limited to: Yokosuka, Japan; Chinhae, South Korea; Rota, Spain: Peal Harbor, Hawaii; San Diego, California; Everett, Washington: Mayport, Florida; Norfolk, Virginia; Bath, Maine.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following.

• Performing Maintenance Requirement Cards MRC's for the MK 99 (FCS) system

• Work with the Aegis Test Team Engineers and test operations group to understand testing requirements, needs, and resources needed.

• Work with the onsite government In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for MK-99 system to identify any potential issues that need to be corrected to progress testing.

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to comprehend and understand naval work packages and technical documentations including the ability to read technical publication manuals.

Candidate must have previous experience building DDG 51 class ships and combat systems testing in fire control system radar.

• US Citizenship is required.

*Candidate must have an Interim DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

• Work will be conducted at Naval bases, shipyards, and other facilities. The ability to work in an industrial environment and shipboard where access if often by stairs, ladders, and in confined spaces, is required.

• Occasionally underway shipboard support may be required for up to one week at a time.

• Some travel may be required

Desired Skills:

• Graduate of military or civilian electronic technical school plus experience.

• Prior Navy with Fire Control System (FCS) experience.

• Experience in other functional equipment areas of the AEGIS weapon system.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
